The plant (1) has a pumping device (6) supplying heavy oil fuel from a fuel tank (12). A fuel discharge line (39) is branched from a booster fuel system (5) into an upstream of a mixing tank (14), where the fuel discharge line is switched into a control valve (41). The control valve is controlled based on a measuring signal from a flow meter (17) in a feeder fuel system (4) such that constant amount of fuel is conveyed into the mixing tank from the feeder fuel system irrespective of actual fuel consumption of marine diesel engines (2, 3). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a fuel system plant. |
