Provided is a wheelchair with which the occupant's torso can be turned and which is suitable for dysphagia training. A seat section (32) and a footrest (82) are supported by a seat section rotation device (38) and the like so as to be able to rotate about an axis perpendicular to the seat plane, synchronously with each other but independently of a backrest section (34). The backrest section (34) is supported by a seat-tilting frame (24), a backrest-tilting cylinder (74), and the like so as to be tiltable about the axis of the horizontal direction. Thus, the backrest section (34) can be tilted to a desired angle, and the seat section (32) and footrest (82) can be rotated about the axis perpendicular to the seat plane, i.e., in relation to the backrest. |
