PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest that is made lightweight and downsized as well as being increased in strength against a lateral force.SOLUTION: The armrest 1 includes: an arm body 4 in which a through hole 43 is formed; an arm 7 which is connected to the arm body 4; a cylindrical part 32 which is inserted into the through hole 43; a bottom part 33; a planar wall part 31 which is extended from a part of the end of the cylindrical part 32 to the outer side. The armrest also comprises: a drum 3 which is arranged behind the arm body 4 and which rotates the arm body 4 and the arm 7 around the cylindrical part 32; and an installation fixture 8 which integrally connects with the drum 3 by being engaged with the bottom part 33 and which is installable on a seat frame. In the armrest 1, the position of the arm 7 can be adjusted to a housed state and to a state in use. The planar wall part 31 is provided in a manner situated in the front and rear direction of the arm body 4 in use, holding the arm body 4 between the wall part and the installation fixture 8 in the axial direction of the cylindrical part 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
