In this lead storage battery provided with a positive electrode and a negative electrode, the negative electrode is provided with: a collector; and a negative electrode material held on the collector. The negative electrode material includes: a negative electrode active material (A); a bisphenol-based resin (B) having structural units derived from a reaction between a bisphenol-based compound (b1), at least one substance (b2) selected from the group consisting of aminobenzenesulfonic acid and aminobenzenesulfonic acid derivates, and at least one substance (b3) selected from the group consisting of formaldehyde and formaldehyde derivatives; and a naphthalenesulfonic acid-based resin (C). The specific surface area of the negative electrode material in a fully charged state is at least 0.5 m2/g. |
