A fan assembly (100) for a work vehicle (10) includes a fan shroud (102) defining an opening (104) and a fan (106). The fan (106) includes a rotor (108) and one or more blades (110) extending outwardly along a radial direction from the rotor (108). The fan assembly (100) additionally includes a wear ring (124) attached to the fan shroud (102) and extending inwardly along the radial direction. The wear ring (124) is configured to interact with tips (114) of the blades (110) to increase an efficiency of the fan assembly (100).
