The device (1) has evaporator tubes (3) surrounded by a metallic casing and a tubular extrusion profile. Melting point of metal of the casing and the profile lies below operating temperature of the device. The metal is liquefied when the device is heated. The liquefied or pasty metal of the casing and the profile closes air gaps or larger cracks (8) formed between solid (2) and the tubes during heating by formation of a metallic bridge and compensate differences that result from different thermal expansion of used materials. The tubes are made of nickel-based steel alloy or sintered material. The solid is selected from a group of material such as fire clay powder, ground brick, ground porcelain, concrete, alumina, lava rocks, steel balls and/or mixtures of materials. An independent claim is also included for a method for storing heat using a heat storage device. |
