PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that allows an observer to promptly confirm the external situation when a mute operation is performed in a head-mounted display device.SOLUTION: A head-mounted display device that is mounted on a head of an observer and forms a virtual image before an observer's eyes, comprises: a display element for forming from image data an image that is to be a basis of image light; a light source for emitting the image light representing the formed image; a light guide part for forming a virtual image from the emitted image light; and a display control part that turns the light source off when an interruption request from the outside is acquired, and makes the head-mounted display device an interruption mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
