The appliance has a control unit (14a) i.e. electronic unit, continuously operating a heating frequency unit (10a) with fixed frequency and another heating frequency unit (12a) in a certain time interval and switching the heating frequency unit to another time interval. The control unit operates the latter heating frequency unit in the former time interval with another frequency, where the latter frequency is different from the former frequency in a range of 15 KHz. The control unit controls and regulates the heating frequency units by control signals. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a cooking appliance.
