PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open/close device for smoothly opening/closing a lid.SOLUTION: A cover 3 of a shredder which is the open/close device, is provided with a protrusion 55 and a slide contact section 65, respectively, which can fit mutually during the operation of a lid 6 at any position between both ends of the lid 6 relative to the lid 6 and a top cover 5, a supporting body. The protrusion 55 is provided with a closure promotion section 55b for keeping the lid 6 between both ends flexibly deformed by press-contacting the slide contact section 65 until the lid 6 is moved to a predetermined position from a closed condition P and for urging the lid 6 to be in the closed condition P by the deformation repulsion. |
