The purpose of the present invention is to provide an endoscope system which is capable of implementing a desired image correction by an intuitive manipulation. To this end, provided is an endoscope system, comprising: an image capture unit (17) which photoelectrically converts an optical image and generates an electronic image signal; an insertion unit (2) which contains the image capture unit, further comprises a bend part (2b) which is capable of bending, and is inserted into a subject; a manipulation unit (3) which is coupled to the base end side of the insertion unit; a lever unit (12) which is disposed upon the manipulation unit, is coupled to the bend part via pulling members (11), is capable of shaking in a direction which is orthogonal to a central axis (3a), is retained to be rotatable about the central axis, and carries out a bending manipulation of the bending part by shaking; and a video processor unit (9) which receives as input the image signal which is generated by the image capture unit, generates an image signal for display, carries out a rotated image signal process for the image signal for display in response to a rotation of the lever unit, and outputs the result of the process to an image display device (16). |
