The present invention relates to a composition for enhancing viscosity which is added to a target object containing water to develop viscosity, and more specifically, to a composition for enhancing viscosity which is added to a meal or the like of a patient having difficulty in chewing and swallowing by an eating disorder in a small quantity to improve viscosity development, and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the composition for enhancing viscosity comprises a gelatinized grain film to provide food replacing a meal without an additional cooking process and provide an excellent viscosity development effect even in high-salt food.
