The present invention relates to a power saving device and a photovoltaic power generation system having the same to refrain from wasting electricity because of the operation of a connection box when sunshine is little. The present invention offers the power saving device of the photovoltaic power generation system comprising an information collection unit and a control unit. The information collection unit collects necessary information to calculate an amount of sunshine. The control unit calculates an amount of sunshine based on information collected by the information collection unit. Depending on the amount of sunshine, the control unit performs either a photovoltaic power generation mode or a power saving mode. |
