Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for producing sintered ore. According to an aspect of the present invention, an apparatus for producing sintered ore, comprises: a storage hopper in which stores a blended raw material including iron ore and coke; an ignition furnace which ignites a surface of a charged raw material, which is the raw material charged into a sintered ore cart, while moving in a sintered ore cart; a dust-combined ore detector which detects a fallen dust-combined ore, which is generated by a flame of the ignition furnace, on a sintered bed layer; a gas fuel insufflator which sprays gas fuel above the sintered bed layer in a rear end of the ignition furnace; and a controller which controls the gas fuel insufflator to pause spraying of the gas fuel when a dust-combined ore is detected in the dust-combined ore detector. |
