A hollow-fiber membrane bundle obtained by accumulating a hollow-fiber membrane 31 to be used in an artificial lung and having a hollow section through which a fluid travels, wherein the overall shape thereof is cylindrical. Furthermore, the hollow-fiber membrane 31 is wound around a center axis O of a cylindrical body so as to be slanted relative to the center axis O of the cylindrical body, and satisfies the following conditions: the inner diameter φd1 of the hollow-fiber membrane 31 is 150μm or less; the slant angle θ of the hollow-fiber membrane 31 relative to the center axis O of the cylindrical body is 60° or less; and the ratio φD1/L of the outer diameter φD1 of the cylindrical body to the length L of the cylindrical body is 0.4 or more. |
