PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement device and a measurement method each of which enables the amount of protein sticking to the surface of a measurement object to be measured with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A measurement device for measuring the amount of protein sticking to the surface of a measurement object comprises: a light projection unit for irradiating the measurement object with light; a light-receiving unit for receiving the reflected light of the irradiated light that is reflected at the surface of the measurement object to which protein is stuck; a spectrometer for obtaining the optical spectrum of the reflected light that is received by the light-receiving unit; and a calculation unit for calculating protein amount on the surface of the measurement object, on the basis of the correlation between the optical spectrum and the amount of protein. The light projection unit is constructed to irradiate the measurement object with light that includes light in a wavelength of 200 to 450 nm, and the light projection unit and the light-receiving unit are configured in such a manner that the reflected light received by the light-receiving unit constitutes multiple reflected light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
