PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device that can prevent currents from flowing excessively to a motor when starting an engine.SOLUTION: A motor control device comprises: a required torque calculating portion 41 that determines torque generated by a motor generator 33 as required torque which is required to increase speed of an engine 2 depending on a driven state of the engine 2; an engine speed sensor 51 that detects engine speed of the engine 2; a restricted torque calculating portion 42 that calculates, as restricted torque, torque generated by the motor generator 33 for restricting currents flowing to the motor generator 33 according to the engine speed; and an ECU that controls the torque generated by the motor generator 33 so that either torque, whichever is smaller, of the required torque and the restricted torque is achieved during execution of activation control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
