PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which facilitates exchange of a brush.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 100 includes: slip rings 31 of a rotary shaft 7; a brush assembly 20 including brushes 22, a base ring plate 23 holding the brushes 22, and a cylindrical assembly cover 21; and a motor cover 3 and an end cover 4 forming a slip ring mechanism housing space 6, which houses the slip rings 31 and the brush assembly 20, together. The brush assembly 20 passes through an end part opening part 3b1 of the motor cover 3 and is detachably attached to the slip rings 31. The brush assembly 20 has a bolt 30, which fixes the brush assembly 20 to the motor cover 3, at the inner side of the assembly cover 21. A female screw hole 3c2 of the motor cover 3, with which the bolt 30 threadedly engages, is positioned at the opposite side of the end part opening part 3b1 with respect to the brush assembly 20 so that the bolt 30 is attached/detached through the end part opening part 3b1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
