PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an active material including silicon as a primary component, in which the formation of a silicon oxide is suppressed; an electrode structure with a high capacity and a long life; and a power storage device.SOLUTION: In a negative electrode active material for power storage devices, which allows lithium ions to electrochemically go thereinto and out thereof and a manufacturing method thereof, secondary particles are produced by agglomeration of primary particles of 10-300 nm including silicon as a primary component; and each primary particle has, as a surface layer, a complex oxide layer at least formed from Li and at least one metal element selected from at least Al, Zr, Mg, Ca and La. An electrode structure comprises: the active material; and exfoliation pieces of graphite. In a power storage device, the electrode structure is used for a negative electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
