The invention provides a pneumatic tire improved in snow performance, on-ice performance, and steering stability performance in a well-balanced manner and specifying a rotational direction. A tread portion (2) is provided with crown main grooves (3), shoulder main groove (4), middle lateral grooves (10), and middle slots (11). A position including the intersections of the middle slot (11) and the lateral grooves (10), a tie bar (15) is provided which raises the groove bottom. The tie bar (15) includes a horizontal portion (16) extending along the middle lateral grooves (10) and a vertical part (17) extending along the middle slot (11) which are connected and is substantially in a T shape in a plan view. Both end portions in the tire axial direction of the transverse portion (16) form a terminal without reaching the crown main grooves (3) and the shoulder main grooves (4). Arrival end of the rotational direction of the longitudinal portion (17) forms a terminal without reaching the inner end (11e) of the middle slots (11). |
