PURPOSE:To increase purity, stability, and performance by containing an electrolyte in gel produced by hydrolysis and condensationpolymerization of alkoxide. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of Si(OR)4 (R=C2O5) and H2SO4 is poured into a container 9 to a specified level. and shaked to form gel, then a gelled electrolyte is obtained. The electrolyte has crosslinked structure which is not broken by vibration and steadily keep its shape. Since sulfuric acid electrolyte is contained in the gel, no electrolyte leakage appears. Both electrodes are separated by the gel without use of a separtor. Thereby, purity, stability, and performance can be increased. |
