The invention provides crystalline salt forms of 4′-{2-ethoxy-4-ethyl-5-[((S)-2-mercapto-4-methylpentanoylamino)methyl]-imidazol-1-ylmethyl}-3′-fluorobiphenyl-2-carboxylic acid. This invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising the crystalline compounds, processes and intermediates for preparing the crystalline compounds, and methods of using the crystalline compounds to treat diseases such as hypertension.

A solid pharmaceutical composition comprising a blended mixture of a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a crystalline heminapadisylate salt of 4′-{2-ethoxy-4-ethyl-5-[((S)-2-mercapto-4-methylpentanoylamino)methyl]imidazol-1-ylmethyl}-3′-fluorobiphenyl-2-carboxylic acid, characterized by a powder x-ray diffraction pattern comprising diffraction peaks at 2θ values of 4.84±0.20, 9.41±0.20, 10.82±0.20, 17.39±0.20, 24.17±0.20, and 24.65±0.20; wherein said composition is shaped or loaded into tablets or capsules.
