PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system capable of recognizing a feature of a distant road in controlling a vehicular travel.SOLUTION: A vehicle control part 1, for use in controlling a vehicle V, includes: a road recognition part 6 for recognizing a feature of a road on the basis of a pickup image; a driver state detection part 2 for detecting whether abnormality occurs to a driver; an emergency-time travel control part 4 for controlling a travel of the vehicle V on the basis of the feature of the road recognized by the road recognition part 6 in the case of occurrence of abnormality of the driver being detected; and a light control part 5 for controlling a headlight 13 incorporated in the vehicle V so as to control under a high-beam before the emergency-time travel control part 4 starts to control travelling of the vehicle V.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
