PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system which can perform a test on a part of a function which is possessed by detection means for detecting the oscillation of a long-length matter in a hoist pipe, and can obtain information which is advantageous for specifying a malfunction point.SOLUTION: An elevator system comprises: detection means which detects that a long-length matter in a hoist pipe oscillates by a regulated amount or larger; substitution means which substitutes for a part of a function which is possessed by the detection means; test control means which controls the motion of the substitution means; and motion evaluation means which performs a motion test of the other part except for a part which is substituted by the substitution means from the function possessed by the detection means. The test control means forcibly creates a first state that the oscillation of the long-length matter by the regulated amount or larger should be detected by the detection means, and a second state that the oscillation should not be detected by controlling the motion of the substitution means, and the motion evaluation means performs a motion test of the function possessed by the detection means of the other part by evaluating the detection result of the detection means in the first state and the second state. |
