The present invention relates to a safety control method of an electric heater. More particularly, an electric heater (heat emitting resistor) for an air conditioner of a vehicle determines whether the heat emitting resistor is damaged or not by measuring the change amount of a current per hour after a voltage is applied thereto, and blocks a voltage supplied to an electric heater when damages to the heat emitting resistor occur more than or equal to the predetermined number. Therefore, the electric heater is prevented from being damaged by overheating of the electric heater, thereby preventing fire from occurring.
