<p>The invention relates to a high energy laser device that includes: a gain medium comprising a solid material containing doping ions and having a first transverse dimension (L) along a first axis (X), a second transverse dimension (I) along a second axis (Y), and a third axial dimension (e) along a third axis (Z), the three axes being mutually orthogonal; a pumping means supplying an energy flow (FP) through a plane defined by the first and second axes; a cooling means supplying a heat flow (FR) through the plane defined by the first and second axes; an energy extraction means supplying a light flow (FE) through a plane defined by the first and second axes; characterised in that the gain medium has a doping rate that varies along the third axis in order to reduce the amplification of the spontaneous emission.</p> |
