PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine a degree of a damage on a medium.SOLUTION: A bill management system 1 reads a serial number from each of bills which are paid, and sends the serial number to a bill management device 2, when performing payment processing on a cash dispenser 3. The bill management device 2 counts a number which the bill has been handled for every serial number as a handling number, and when the handling number exceeds a threshold value, notifies the cash dispenser 3 of a determination result which indicates the bill has to be collected for collection of the bill. Thereby the bill management system 1 can regard the bill having a relatively large total value of the handling numbers on respective cash dispensers 3, as a bill having a relatively large degree of a damage on the bill, to collect the bill. |
