PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ionization chamber with which it is possible to desolventize a liquid sample sprayed from a nozzle and send it into a mass analysis unit, making it effectively contribute to analysis.SOLUTION: The present invention is an ionization chamber 100 placed between a liquid chromatograph unit 60 and a mass analysis unit 50, wherein the ionization chamber 100 is provided with spray means 15 for ionizing a liquid sample sent from the liquid chromatograph unit 60 and spraying the ionized sample in a Z direction inside the ionization chamber 100, and an ion introduction tube 19 in which an inlet part is formed in the horizontal direction perpendicular to the Z direction inside the ionization chamber 100 and an outlet part for introducing ions into the inside of the mass analysis unit 50 is formed, the size of the opening of the inlet part being configured to have a shape that corresponds to the expanse on XY plane of the liquid sample sprayed in the Z direction. |
