PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately predict the abrasion loss of a tire.SOLUTION: A method of predicting an abrasion loss of a vertical land part formed in the tread part of a tire using a computer includes: a step S1 of inputting to a computer a tire including a vertical land part model in which the tire including the vertical land part is modeled with a finite number of elements; a step S3 of the computer causing a tire model to travel under each of rolling conditions including free rolling, braking, driving, and turning so that a first average abrasion energy is calculated for each rolling condition; an occurrence frequency calculation step S4 of acquiring an occurrence frequency of each rolling condition with respect to previously provided travelling history of a vehicle; a step S5 of weighting a first average abrasion energy under each rolling condition in each vertical land part model and calculating a second average abrasion energy of each vertical land part when the tire travels by a traveling history; and an abrasion loss calculation step S6 of calculating a predicted abrasion loss of each vertical land part based on the second average abrasion energy of each vertical land part. |
