The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for managing multimedia files, an operating method thereof, and a message server for helping the mobile terminal to manage multimedia files. According to the present invention, the mobile terminal for managing multimedia files comprises: a message unit for receiving mails or messages containing multimedia files; a menu provision unit for providing a multimedia file editing screen for selecting an application on which a multimedia file is applied or on which the name of a multimedia file is edited; and a control unit for displaying the multimedia file editing screen on the screen when saving the multimedia file, and saving the name of the multimedia file as an edited name or applying the multimedia file to the selected application. Accordingly, a user of the mobile terminal can conveniently manage multimedia files. |
