A vehicle and an anti-rollback system therefor are disclosed. An anti-rollback apparatus is provided on a clutch shaft of a transmission. The position at which the anti-rollback apparatus is provided may vary according to different vehicle types. For example, on front-engine, front-wheel drive vehicles, said apparatus is provided on the clutch shaft of the transmission; and, on front-engine rear-wheel drive vehicles, said apparatus may be provided on the clutch shaft, and may be provided on an intermediate shaft. The present invention further provides a specific structure for an anti-rollback apparatus, comprising: an inner ring, a one-way device, an outer action ring, a locking pin and a return spring. When the vehicle is operating normally, the one-way device ensures that the transmission shaft can rotate in the forward direction only, thereby fully solving the problem of vehicles rolling back when commencing uphill travel, and thereby eliminating the intrinsic drawbacks commonly seen in vehicles equipped with traditional manual transmissions (MT). The invention also basically overcomes the control difficulties that vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions (ATM) have when commencing uphill travel, difficulties that hinder the popularization of AMT. |
