<p>A navigation system for providing navigation instruction in a vehicle comprises a navigation module arranged to determine a route to a destination, a determination module arranged to receive user-related data and to determine without a specific user request a notification based on the user-related data and on the destination. A notification module is also arranged to notify the user of the notification. The notification may be an intermediate location based on the user-related data and on the destination. In one embodiment the number and type, e.g. adults or children, of passengers in the vehicle is determined and used in determining a usage profile of the vehicle, from which the destination of the vehicle can be inferred. The user related data may include events from a users calendar or social media accounts and may be taken from a mobile device, e.g. phone, associated with the user.</p> |
