There is provided a headband comprising an elongate body member defining a full length and configured to be conformable around the head of a user, wherein the body member includes a first layer potion 6, a second layer portion 8 connected to the first layer portion and an elongate metallic core member 4 arranged between the first 6 and second 8 layer portions. When the headband is worn by the user the first layer portion 6 is positioned to be outwardly facing and the second layer 8 is positioned to be inwardly facing. The headband is adjustable in curvature such that the full length of the arch is conformable to the specific contour of the wearers head. The entire inward facing surface of the second layer portion 8 is engageable around the head. Preferably the first layer portion 6 is made of a material which is substantially stiffer than the second layer material 8. An anti-slip surface may be provided on the second layer portion 8. A method of forming such a headband in a moulding machine is also disclosed. |
