The present invention provides a smart cruise control system of a vehicle, which comprises: a camera module for shooting a front image of the vehicle when cruise control is conducted; a radar module linked with the camera module to output detection values when a front vehicle, which is driving in front of the vehicle, is detected; a front vehicle recognizing module which recognizes the front vehicle with one or more of the detection values and outputs a symbol or a recognizing sound on a cluster when the front vehicle is recognized; and a control module which controls the steering angle to correspond to the driving direction of the front vehicle to control the vehicle speed to keep the distance between the vehicles, which is calculated based on the detection value, to be a set standard distance between vehicles, when the front vehicle is recognized and a front vehicle following command is entered. |
