PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method having less discharge failure, such as landing deviation and non-discharge of ink.SOLUTION: An image forming method using an inkjet ink for printing containing a dye, an adsorption inhibitor, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water includes a step of discharging the inkjet ink for printing from an ink jet recording head to a recording medium. The ink jet recording head includes a flow passage member having an ink discharge hole surface in which a plurality of tapered ink discharge holes are opened and an ink pressurizing chamber surface in which a plurality of ink pressurizing chambers respectively connected to the plurality of tapered ink discharge holes are opened. The flow passage member is made of at least one metal. The content of the water-soluble organic solvent is 25 mass% or more and 70 mass% or less based on the total mass of the inkjet ink for printing. The adsorption inhibitor is an acid having a pKa of 5.5-7.5. |
