This electromagnetic relay comprises the following: a fixed-contact part comprising a fixed-contact plate and a fixed contact attached to said fixed-contact plate; a movable-contact part comprising a movable-contact plate and a movable contact attached to said movable-contact plate; and an electromagnet device that actuates the movable-contact part so as to make the movable contact contact the fixed contact. In at least one of the contact plates, there is a contact region that is thinner than other regions of that contact plate and is provided with a through-hole, the contact on that contact plate has a head section and a body section, and to attach said contact to that contact plate, with the body section inserted through the through-hole and the head section attached to a first surface of the contact region, the tip of the body section is deformed by a force from a second surface on the opposite side from said first surface. |
