The present invention relates to a method for preventing a reading error of a scanner, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for preventing a reading error, the method comprising: recording scan data (hereinafter, referred to as reference data) of a random position (hereinafter, referred to as a reference position) which has not been marked on an initial paper to be scanned or a new type of an initial paper to be scanned when beginning scanning if a new paper type is fed thereinto while beginning scanning or during scanning, and further, applying the reference data to a minimum value; and comparing scan data of the reference position measured for every paper to be scanned with the recorded reference data in a following scanning step so as to determine whether contamination occurs, and further, checking a reading error according to an adjusted minimum value such that the method is easy to use since a separate tool for determining contamination is unnecessary, prevents the inconvenience of deleting large amounts of data and scanning the same again since whether contamination occurs can be checked every time paper is scanned, and prevents a reading error from occurring due to a change in paper type or an environmental difference in scanning location. |
