PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device capable of suppressing the occurrence of irregularities in the layer thickness of a developer carried on the surface of a development roller before and after the adjustment of a development gap.SOLUTION: A development device comprises: a photoreceptor roller 26 forming an electrostatic latent image on a surface; a development roller 40 capable of reciprocating between a first position at which a development gap G between the development roller 40 and the photoreceptor roller 26 is a first gap amount G1 and a second position at which the development gap G is a second gap amount G2 larger than the first gap amount G1, and developing the electrostatic latent image by a developer carried on a surface thereof; a restriction blade 42 disposed to contact the surface of the development roller 40 and restricting a layer thickness of the developer carried on the surface of the development roller 40; and an interlock mechanism 56 changing an attitude of the restriction blade 42 with respect to the development roller 40 to be interlocked with movement of the development roller 40. |
