PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction plate of a wet multiple disc clutch which is used under a sealed oil sump environment and achieves improvement of the oil discharge performance to improve the cooling performance of a friction material.SOLUTION: A friction plate 3 has a friction surface formed by fixing friction material segments 12, 13 to a substantially annular core plate 20 in an annular manner. A penetration groove 21 which penetrates from an inner diameter of the core plate 20 to an outer diameter is formed between the friction material segments 12, 13. Peripheral grooves 12a, 13a which open in the penetration groove 21, are terminated in the friction material segments 12, 13, and extend in a circumferential direction are respectively formed at the friction material segments 12, 13. |
