Provided is a wireless communications apparatus capable of automatically converting a mode into an operation mode corresponding to a communications object. The wireless communications apparatus detects the communications object close to the wireless communications apparatus and then determines whether P2P communications can be performed between the detected communications object and the wireless communications apparatus. If P2P communications are possible, the wireless communications apparatus determines the communications object to be a mobile terminal, changes the operation mode into a P2P mode, and performs P2P communications with the mobile terminal. If P2P communications are impossible, the wireless communications apparatus determines the communications object to be a contactless IC card, converts the operation mode into a reader/writer mode, and reads and writes information with respect to the contactless IC card. |
