The present invention relates to a method for operating a storage device. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: reading data from a nonvolatile memory device by using first reading parameters and second reading parameters, and collecting reading histories; determining first histories and second histories based on the collected reading histories; adjusting second reading parameters according to the first histories; and adjusting the first reading parameters related to the second histories according to the second histories. The reading histories include information about reading voltages. The first histories and the second histories are determined according to the number of reading voltages having the same level.
