PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an isomeric fluid from flowing into a pump part in a pump device in which a shaft is stored in a shaft cover.SOLUTION: A pump device includes: a pump part 19 for transferring an object fluid by rotation of an impeller 2; a motor part 20 for rotating the impeller 2; a shaft 3 for transmitting rotation of the motor part 20 to the impeller 2; a shaft cover 12 which covers the shaft 3 between the motor part 20 and the pump part 19; and a trap part 15 which prevents an isomeric fluid from flowing into the pump part 19 at the inner side of the shaft cover 12. Even if the isomeric fluid flows from the motor part 20 into the pump part 19 while passing through the inner side of the shaft cover 12, the isomeric fluid is prevented from flowing into the pump part 19 by the trap part 15. Thus, the isomeric fluid is prevented from mixing in and contaminating the object fluid. |
