1. An imaging apparatus comprising:
an imaging element; an imaging processing device which acquires an image data from the imaging element; an incline detection device which detects an incline of the imaging apparatus; an image display device which displays an image based on the image data; and a display processing device which displays an incline guide display in accordance with an amount of roll angle of the imaging apparatus on the image display device; wherein when an amount of pitch angle of the imaging apparatus exceeds a threshold value, the display processing device changes a display format of the incline guide display from a first format to a second format, and wherein the second format is different from the first format; and wherein the imaging apparatus is configured to make a determination as to whether the amount of pitch angle exceeds or does not exceed the threshold value, and wherein the imaging apparatus is configured to control the display processing device based on the determination, such that when the imaging apparatus determines that the amount of pitch angle does not exceed the threshold value, then the display format of the incline guide display is the first format, and such that the display format of the incline guide display is the second format only when the imaging apparatus determines that the amount of pitch angle does exceed the threshold value, and wherein the change of the display format of the incline guide display from the first format to the second format includes turning off a marker, allowing a bar to flicker, or sounding an alert sound.
