PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle capable of reducing aerodynamic drag which is caused by a cavity for a truck.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle of the invention comprises: a vehicle body; a truck for supporting the vehicle body, and having a truck frame and wheels; and a truck enclosure part comprising two side face covers 12 respectively covering outer side faces of the truck, and bottom face covers 10a, 10b, 11 for covering a bottom face of the truck, for surrounding the truck in a cavity disposed below the vehicle body. The bottom face covers have wheel holes 111 from which lower side parts of wheels are protruded. A first air hole 101a and a second air hole 101b are formed on the tuck enclosure part. The first air hole 101a is positioned on a front position and the second air hole 101b is positioned on a rear position, therefore, by forward movement of the railway vehicle, a cooling air flow which passes through the first air hole 101a, enters the cavity, and passes through the second air hole 101b and exits the cavity, is formed. |
