PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate detection apparatus capable of detecting the coordinates of the contact point by detecting a change in the gate-source coupling capacitance which increases or decreases by a contact to the LCD cover glass of a TFT-LCD.SOLUTION: The coordinate detection apparatus 1 comprises: a touch panel-cum-liquid crystal display panel 100 having thin film transistor cells arranged at intersections of a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of source lines and with gates connected to the gate lines and sources connected to the source lines; a source driver 10 for driving the source lines; a gate driver 20 for driving the gate lines; a coordinate detector 30 connected to the source driver and detecting a change in the gate-source coupling capacitance caused by a contact to the touch panel-cum-liquid crystal display panel; and a controller 40 connected to the coordinate detector and controlling the timing of the source driver and the gate driver. |
