摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machining device which improves success rate of wire connection in a work-piece having a shape with its thickness varied by adjusting a liquid surface height of a working liquid according to a work shape adjacent to a wiring position of a wire electrode, and shortens time for automatic wiring to improve processing efficiency.SOLUTION: When disconnection of a wire electrode is detected in a wire electric discharge machining device, route information is acquired through which the wire electrode passes. In a case that height of a work-piece at a connection position of the wire electrode is known, a liquid surface height of a working liquid is adjusted as the same level as the height of the work-piece, and in a case that the height thereof is unknown, possibility of estimation of the height of the work-piece is determined. In a case that the height of the work-piece can be estimated, the liquid surface height of the working liquid is adjusted as the same level as the estimated height of the work-piece, and in a case that the height thereof cannot be estimated, the liquid surface height of the working liquid is adjusted as the same level as intermediate height between the thickest portion of the work-piece and the thinnest portion thereof. In a case that a hole exists in the vicinity of the connection position, water level is decreased, and in a case that the hole does not exist, it is determined whether the rigidity of the wire electrode is high. When the rigidity is determined to be high, wire connection of the wire electrode is performed after decreasing water level of the working liquid.
