<p>A safety glass retention system for retaining in Position a glass panel having one face opposed to another face, including: a first elongate member having a fixing portion which may be mounted to the one face of the glass panel and an extension portion which extends beyond the edge of the glass panel when so fixed or fastened; a second elongate member, a first portion of which may be mounted to the other face of the glass panel in substantial alignment with the first elongate member and a second portion having an engagement portion for engaging with the extension portion of the first elongate member when the elongate members are mounted to the opposite faces of the glass panel.
