PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire further improving the durability of a bead part compared to heretofore while achieving the weight reduction of the tire.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises a pair of bead cores, carcass plies and wire chafers. The wire chafer 3 is formed by embedding a metal wire 20 having a flat-shaped cross section orthogonal to a longitudinal direction into a rubber G without twisting so that a width direction of the flat shape coincides with that of the wire chafer. When defining the thickness of the metal wire in the flat-shaped cross section as T, the width thereof as W, and the driving number of the metal wire in the wire chafer as P, the product TSt of a cord rigidity in a wire chafer thickness direction and the driving number P satisfies 6.0≤TSt≤12.0; the product WSt of the cord rigidity in a wire chafer width direction and the driving number P satisfies 20.0≤WSt≤200.0; and the driving pore space S of the metal wire in the wire chafer satisfies 0.7≤S≤1.3. |
