<p>An applicator (7, 9, 11, 17, 32) for nail varnish comprises a reservoir (4, 19), a brush (3) made up of a plurality of bristles (2), a passage (1) or opening (20) connected to the reservoir (4), and a compressible suction bulb (6, 21), which is used to draw liquid nail varnish into the reservoir (4) through the passage (1) or opening (20) and to deliver it back to the brush (3) for subsequent application to a nail (16). The applicator may incorporate a screw threaded cap (10, 24), such that the combination is adapted to seal a neck (13) of a container (12, 25) for nail varnish. Compressing and releasing the bulb (6, 21) with a substantial part of the brush (3) immersed in the container (12, 25) draws nail varnish into the reservoir (4) which can then he applied to several nails (16) without requiring refilling.</p> |
