<p>A device for deterring birds from stopping on surfaces, comprising a board (11) with predominantly longitudinal extension to be fixed at a lower face (12) to a surface on which the stay of the birds need be prevented; and wire-shaped deterring elements (19) with two end segments (19b) pointing outward from the board. According to the invention the board (11) has locking seats (22) for elements (19) so that the end segments (19b) can project and point according to a direction substantially parallel to the lower face (12) of the board (11).
