PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive deodorization treating agent for a permanent waving agent safe for human bodies and to provide the permanent treating agent comprising the deodorization treating agent. SOLUTION: The deodorization treating agent for the permanent waving agent is obtained by including an amino acid-zinc complex and/or a reaction product comprising the amino acid-zinc complex, and the deodorization treating agent is further contained in the permanent waving agent. When the permanent waving agent comprises a reducing agent as a principal ingredient, the amino acid-zinc complex is incorporated.
